Does anyone know roughly where the gas line in the engine bay is (easily be gotten to?) sorry I know i should jack up the truck and follow the fuel filter, but i have no way of jacking it up.

fuel lines come up on the driver's side of the engine compartment. The feed line attaches at the rear of the fuel rail, and the return line comes off of the FPR at the forward side of the fuel rail.

im sorry this is gonna prob sound really bad, what is the diff in return and supply? supply goes to the motor? wheres the return go?

Return goes back to the tank. The pressurized fuel system is plumbed as follows (wish I could draw it schematically):

fuel pump (in tank) -> line -> fuel filter -> line -> fuel rail (rear attachment) -> fuel injectors -> fuel pressure regulator (basic mechanical back pressure regulator) -> return line -> fuel tank

So the pump is continuously pumping fuel at roughly constant pressure (~35-45 psi). Fuel in excess of what is injected into the engine (a good majority) passes through the FPR and returns to the tank.

Does that help you understand how it works?
