I don't know much about them, but what about 404 portals?
Those would be sweet! You can put a Mercedes sign on your hood!

But I think finding 404s are going to be a toughy.

Dunno what the status is on this but if you're still interested, I've been tracking the recent ROCK competitions and the KOH run, and I'm personally sold on the Campbell chassis.

Besides the LS2 -- the rear engined config and slung really low (belly of about ~20"; creates for better suspension angles) seems to be the winning combo.

A build similar to the Monster chassis Shannon Campbell raced at KOH:

PBB TV's episode 4 has a good few seconds of the Monster buggy in action: http://www.pirate4x4.com/tv/

The guy that i have been talking to is building 4 chassis right now. He is going to give me all the pctures of the builds when they are done. Im still trying to make a decsion.

Iz the Shannon Campbell one is from KY. My new business is in KY. Im really looking for this in a 2 seater version....... i would be happy

Trent fab makes some good lookin stuff, they really put it through hell as well with vid's to prove. Look for the trent fab buggy rollover at donner ski range.

I would stick with 1 tons, 2.5s are adding to much weight to a tiny buggy and way overkill for 42's. Theres a reason most smaller buggys use custom lightweight housings and outers.

Sounds like you need to do alot more research and come up witha solid plan for what you will be using it for.

Thats why i am waiting till he gets these buggies built. Then i know. It will prob be a 1ton setup

And once your buggy is finished bring it out the Truckhaven so I can have a ride:D

Crap.....

We have a little delema...

Me and my dad discussed the idea of building my 53 f100 as a drag truck today and ill have to choose between the crawler and the 53. I want the drag truck because my drive in was built in 53 also...

Drag truck  -- the 53 will appreciate in value over time (if done right). A crawler only depreciates.

Oh man i have wanted the 53 so bad since we went and i bought it when i was 16. Its in parts right now. Cab off frame and everything.

Thats even better. With the cab off, its off to the sandblasters!
