This is for my sister's 97 sport 4wd. My whole family drives extremely aggressively. The truck will see mostly highway and rough city streets. These shocks need to last for a long time because my sister won't even think about them unless they do something drastic to attract her attention. We don't mind a firm ride. I was looking the Bilstiens. Everyone here seems to like the Moroe reflexes. Koni's would be nice but they want way too much for them. Again these shocks have to last, and my family drives hard.

I'd get Bilstiens then. They will last a long time and can take it.

i have monroe sensa-tracs on my 93 sport and we have rancho 5000s on our 91 eb 4-door. hands down, i would go with rancho. my sensa-tracs are only 7 mos old and i wish i would have gotten the ranchos...the only reason i didnt is because i drive mostly on-road and the guy told me that the ranchos would suck for that...yeah right! THEY ARE AWESOME ON AND OFF!

My vote is for the Monroe Reflex. They feel the same as my Edelbrock IAS shocks did when they were new and cost half as much. My Eddelbrocks lasted 50K. I've only had my Monroes for about 10K now so I can't comment on how long they last. No shock will last forever though. If they last 50K like my Eddelbrocks did, then they were well worth it. I was considering the Old Man EMU shocks however, when I found out they only had something like a 24K warranty, I couldn't justify the price. Even the best shocks in the world won't last forever. If you get 50K out of them, then choose the least expensive ones that provide the ride and handleing you are looking for. Monroe Reflex shocks are definately firmer than stock shocks.
