HELP! Need Answers by 2p MT., Security

So I got a Viper 300 ESP system installed yeasterday. It took 4.5 hours, and it all doesn't work. Your can, with the key, unlock the rear hatch and open it and not set the alarm off. They said they don't think that it can alarm when it opens, I'm thinking BULLSHIT! 2nd, the dome and puddle lights don't come on when you disarm the system. They said they think that they can only get the puddle lamps to work, and I'm thinking for a 2nd time BULLSHIT! I have a 2001 Explorer Sport, if anybody has any DEI system and it all works POST! If know how to make it work for gods sake POST!

Sounds like the installers didn't do that good of a job. What good is an alarm if you can put a screwdriver in the lock cylinder and open the door and the alarm dosen't go off?

I don't have any experience with Viper but the installers need to get to that hatch switch and hook it up right.

Same thing with the lights..... Dudes need to break out the EVTM and figure it out. If you paid for this then you should have it work correctly.

What shop did you go to?
I have a DEI Keyless entry system with some security functions, I did not get the hatch done[I have other plans for that] but the guy at my shop said it's just like doing any other door.

They fixed it, but I am never going there again, they were assholes about it!
