Last week one of my neighbors told me that my truck alarm went off in the middle of the night. I didn't hear it but thought nothing more of it. About a week ago, my right side headlight went out. I thought it was the bulb. I went to change it and now it was working so I left it alone but it registered in the back of my mind. Yesterday in the rain, I noticed that the headlight was not working again. I took it to a friend's shop and we checked the wiring, bulbs, and fuses. There was no problem with the bulb but we changed it anyway to no avail. Checked the fuse with a continuity checker and there was power on both side of the fuse with the lights on. The high beams work as well. However, then we noticed the fogs were not working anymore either. The fuse for the right headlight is the same fuse for the fog lamps. The fuse is good but it appears that there is a break in the wire from the fuse box to the right headlight and the fogs. There is no power to either. Anyone else had anything like that happen?
I woke up in the middle of the night last night and thought about the bulbs in the fogs. I changed the stock bulbs out for a more powerful bulb. I changed from 893 to 885. The wattage went from 25 (I think) to 37. I am wondering if that is the reason??
