Installed new gauge faces today, got everything calibrated and all's going well until...I flip the lever for my turn signal and I get nothing. Flip the other way, nothing. Hit the hazards, those are fine. High beams, yup those work. Flash to pass, good to go. So everything works fine, except my turn signals, no relay clicking inside, no dash lights flashing a turn, nothing. Flip the lever, might as well not be there. Advice?

did you swap the 4way flasher to the turn signal flasher to see if the flasher died?
if that isn't it then trace the wires from the flasher to the multi switch.

get a wiring diagram, that helps tons & tons

merry new years

wow like the other said ...never saw a eddie in a sport model !

did you check the flasher relays under the dash if they are good then maybe when you had the cluster out putting on the new face plate there are 2 main connector harness's on the back of the guage cluster maybe you did not click those back in properly .

didn't pull the cluster all the way out, just took off the face plates. Got it figured out now though. thanks guys.

Problem NOT fixed, so I found that I had "simply" blown fuse 5, replaced it, turned ignition to last spot before engine turns over, worked fine. Fired up the car, tried to use signals, fuse was blown again. Any ideas?

No signals

Had a somewhat similar problem recently with my 98. Replaced flasher and multifunction switch and still no success.

In the end it turned out to be a problem with the wiring harness connector to the multifunction switch. The connector was making poor contact with the switch and so first the signals were intermittent, then out completely.

Mechanic said that the recent cold weather we have been having in the Vancouver - Bellingham - Seattle area may have been the final straw (:wavey::wavey::wavey:?)

Replaced the hard connector at the multifunction switch and everything is good!

Suggest that you check the connector for proper connection to the multifunction switch

I had the same problem as well, during a rain storm no less.

Under the dash is the fuse panel, give it a firm whack and see if they dont come back.

Sorry I forgot to post that I solved the problem. My extra $10 reverse-lights mounted to my hitch were causing the fuse to blow, not the car turning on, but me shifting passed reverse into neutral. I forgot I had bumped them and bent one out of whack on an ice mound (thought it was snow) when backing up. My problem now is though I can't find the direct short in the reverse lights so I have to deal without the extras and just try to see through my (too) dark rear window with just those ridiculously small and weak stock reverse lamps until I have time to get down there and look at where my wiring job didn't hold up. Thanks for the input though!
