The stabilizer bar link has been spray periodically with penetrating oil for the past couple days now. I've hit it with 3lb hammer and even an air hammer. I have the top nut off, but nothing seems to be able to drive it downwards!

I'm pretty sure the bottom bolt ( under the control arm) has to be removed, then the link pulls out upward.

In my case, the bolt on the bottom runs all the way up the entire length of the link. It seems to be rust-welded to the sleeve. I'm confident about this b/c that's how my driver's side one was attached and this passenger one looks the same. Note: The driver's side was also stubborn, but I was finally able to pound it out with an air hammer.

I've read multiple posts where people claim they cut through it with a hacksaw in 30 seconds. I'm baffled by this b/c I've worn through the teeth on two sawzall blades and one hacksaw blade!!! I'm off to the hardware store now for more blades!!!

Well, bought some similar sawzall blades, but this time I choose the Milwakee name brand ones. Even had the same 24 TPI. The new blades cut through the link like it was butter!!!

Just did mine. I used a hacksaw and cut through the bolt in about 2 mins. One was broke already and I broke the other one trying to get the top nut off. I then had to use a screwdriver and hammer to drive the bolt down through the opening since it was stuck and rusted.

It would have been faster if I had metal cutting blades for the sawzall though.
