'91 XL 4-dr
I have a '91 4dr Explorer XL on which I just installed a 4" Skyjacker Lift.
The problem is that the passanger's side is exactly 1" taller than the driver's side. The measurements are 38" at the lip of the passanger's wheel (front and back) and 37" at the lip of the driver's wheel (front and back).
I measured the frame rails at the same place on both sides. In the front 25" and back 25", so they measure the same.
Have any of you run across this? What is the solution?
Thanks......

Jemail-I had a 4in skyjacker lift as well as now I've got a 6in lift...It was more noticable with the 4in lift, but leveled a bit with the 6in lift....I've talked to sky jacker and they said they had never heard of it, as well as other explorer owners have said the same...That is their truck has the same problem....It's still visible in my truck, but there has be no performance effects from it...Hope this helped....if not, I may be able to answer it...I'm one of the smaller group running the skyjacker lift and I love it!
Thanks,
Pete
P.S.--I must say, welcome to the site! Here, we can answer most of you explorer questions!

we are the smaller group with the better lift . I have a 6 inch lift and mine doesn't sag so i cant help u there but a little sag is not as bad as what some of the stupid lift guys are running into

I to am running a Skyjacker lift, mine is the class II. I had the same problem, after I spoke with Skyjacker I ordered alignment spacers from them I had to install one between the spring and the front axle to boost the height and level it out. once the front was level the back wasn't as bad and is not noticeable. I've ran this setup now for two years and I love it. Now that the suspension has settled I've installed another spacer on each side to bring it back into alignment. The best I can figure its caused by differences from the factory (Ford and Skyjacker combined). I hope this helps.

Thank you for all the help.
I will allow a few weeks for everything to settle, then if it is still uneven, I will give Skyjacker a call for those spacers.
I am wondering if the lean is due to having the gas tank on the driver's side, since the springs and coils have the same numbers.

hey pete

do you still have your old 4" lift?if so would you sell it?

No...all I did was add shackles and swap springs....So I used all the 4in lift just changed springs....Sorry
Pete
