This morning while starting my 1992 explorer somewhere a vacuum line came off and my explorer will not shift out of 1st gear. I have checked the top side and can not find any lines off. Can anyone give me somewhere to look? Your help would be a great help.

Can you post a picture of the hose in question please.

The only vac line affecting shifting is your vacuum modulator line. Without the vac mod hooked up you will get 3000rpm shifts. The modulator is located on the passenger side of the transmission housing; you should be able to follow the line from there. There's an access panel in the floor under the carpet as well that will let you get at the modulator.
