My friend has a 97 ranger and were trying to add a precision power a200 amp and a 8' jbl sub in it. We have power from the battery to the amp. RCA cord from amp to the headunit. Wire from the sub to amp. But for some reason we are not getting power to the sub. The amp is getting power but not putting any out. We added a inline fuse from the battery to the amp also. Can anyone direct us on what we did wrong or what needs to be done. Also should there be a sub input or output on the headunit? Nevermind we got it all hooked up and working.

did u guys hook up the remote(blue) wire from the radio to the amp (22 or 24g wire)

The remote wire just tells it to turn on. If not hooked up, it will just drain the battery and never cut off. It sounds like the channels are either burned up, you don't have the coils on the subs wired right, or the cd player might have the AUX output or subwoofer output turned off. Easy to turn on though. Exactly what kind of cd player is it?
