I posted this in 2005 on the under the hood section with no help ..yes I know a long time ago.
98 exploer 4wd sport:
Today I had my buddy run a diagnostic check on my explorer due to the check engine light coming on, flashed code p1104 Which was about an upstream valve or hose either plugged or missing on the differential.
Any suggestions, he was stumped he found the hoses coming off them, one had a cap that would releave pressure the other one he said didn't have anything but was still hooked up ,
Well today I was trying to find some information about it, because my gas mileage is down to about 14.6 right now. So would like to get this squared away.
Fixed this today while I was installing a new thermostat. Just sprayed some contact cleaner on the connecter and code went away
