What I have is a 94 with 32x11.50 and shackles. This is a daily driver and never goes off road except to cut into a field or cross a ditch during hunting season, and I pull a trailer for my sons 4 wheeler. My question is I want more clearance for my tires, I dont plan soon to go any taller tires, someday maybe 33-36 in who knows but what is better choice a body lift with a guarantee of 3in or a Skyjacker 2in coil and AAL that is actually 1 1/2 lift or a spacer and a AAL. Has anyone had a problem with the poly spacers (breaking) what is the safest/ best choice for a highway vehicle? I dont want to end up with a brutal ride on the highway or a feeling like driveing a double decker bus. I understand the different chalenges of each suspension- more expensive and a alignment, body lift- fan, bumpers, steering issues. I dont know about this 'death wobble' but im preety sure I dont need that. Any incite for either side on this would be great!

you could get the f150 front coil spacers i hear people talking about, suppose to get you another 1 and half or so... and i put a 4in lift on mine and it has aal in the rear and it made it way to stiff in the rear for me, drives decent on the highway though

Still which one suspension or body lift would be better for a street ex?

it all depends on what you want out of your vehicle...how about a suspension first and if it's not hi enough then a body lift....a body lift may be the cheapest and easiest way to go...i will tell you your gearing is going to hate you for bigger tires either way...you are already probably noticing it lugs more off the line than it used to...for more help you can add in your name or signature if you are 4x2 or 4x4...also, do a search on here for 33" tires? there are tons of people who have asked the same question, good luck with your decision

Seeing as you are form Illinois and your X has likely seen several years of mud, salt and other corrosive factors I would not recomend a body lift. If there is any amount of rust in the floor boards the body lift will eventually punch through the floor and render your X usless. Unless you plan to do a lot of fender trimming I doubt you'll be able to run 33's with only 2" of lift. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it will require a lot of fender triming on the front.

Right now I have about 2-3" of clearance on the front tires and am concerned that I may cut into the tires upon going into the field, so I think I will be leaning towards the 2" skyjacker suspension lift but I dont want the ride to be like a log wagon beating me to death!
