help with misfire problem

My 98 explorer has started misfiring. I checked the plugs and wires. They are all sparking. I changed the fuel filter and ran seafoam thru it, but the problem is still there. What else can I try?

First thing to do for a misfire is to "change" the spark plugs. Just because they seem to spark in open air does not mean the spark is hot enough to light off the compressed mixture.

Are you getting misfire codes? If so, which codes? Which engine do you have
