Help with replacing shift solenoids

2001 explorer sport 4wd, 5r55e. I was able to change the eps, tcc, and the two shift solenoids on the one side. When I tried to change the two shift solenoids on the other side, one of the solenoids does not want to stay in place and feels like it is being pushed out, I beleive it is SSC. Is this normal?
