Need Help With Replacing Head Gasket

I'd like everyone's opinion on these lists on "how to replace a head gasket" I've found. Which of these lists should I follow?

I have zero experience so I am studying up on what parts I will be dealing with and what tools I'll need for the job. Does anyone have any experience with dealing with head gasket removal and installation? If so, do you have any reccomendations or advice for me before I take on this job? Thank you in advance for your time reading this post.

Oh, forgot to mention, I have a 1994 Ford Explorer 2wd. It has been good to me these past few years getting through school so I want to fix her up again!

Get a manual. I wouldnt follow either one of those links, many mistakes. Search on here, bunch of threads with pictures.

Have the heads checked because they crack very easy and usually on first gens that is the problem, not a bad gasket.
