my 97 x wont go into 4x4 with the wheels on the ground it wont at all but if i put it up all 4 tires off the ground it will enguage but the thing is i can stop the front tires with my hand its like it wants to but wont fully enguage i checked everything on it the electric shift motor axels drive shaft everything but a buddie said it myght be a vacuum leak if so where do i find them and how do i fix them pic be good lol the other thing is will a transfer case from a 95 and up fit into my 97 or do i need a 97 with the controle track or could i make any one work ? please help sry fer no puncuation thats just how i write lol

If you have one of the vac disconnect models then you might have a vacuum problem. Just start tracing the lines and make sure they are all good.
