Hi-I'm slewfoot, a new member to this website which I heard about from My son. Anyway I am the owner of a 1999 explorer which I really love except the noise from the timing chain tensioners which I can live with. What I really want to know is how to hook up My factory driving lights so they stay on with the high beams. the reason being I like the way they light up the road in the close front of the vehicle. Any help would be great. I was an ASE certified master tech for 31 years so I would be able to do it myself if someone has figured it out and can seer My in the right direction. Thanks much and I am sure I will be on the site many more times.

Welcome to this forum! Connect a relay to have both circuits work simultaneously. Check WWW.The12Volt.Com for a schematic diagram.

i dont really know if you could do that with the stock lights. if you have another pair of spot lights you could easily wire them so that they come on when you select the high beams. I just did this last weekend with some new custom made headlights. This is a good write up that todd made that could help.

IF you have fog lights you could wire them up to stay on when you have your high beams on. This mod requires like 30 minutes and like $2 worth of supplies. i can't find the thread right now but i will post it when i get home.
