Since I seem to keep getting links to these boards every time I search for answers regarding my elderlyV8 XLT Explorer, I decided I should simply join in and offer what help I may be able to offer in return. I've had my 'sploder since 2005 and we've racked up over 225,000 miles all told. Now it's nickel and dimeing me in the currency of the new millennia which seems to move the decimal point to the right a fair distance, and adds lots of zeros behind it. Anyway Thanks for the help and I hope to repay some favors as well.

I need all the help I can get there. Between the Explorer entering middle age (235K miles), and now my 95 Bronco having ECM issues I always have something that needs doing.

And all the local parts stores quit stocking parts for 2001! Almost everything is special order only unless it also fits something 5-6 years newer.
