1995/1996 XLT 4WD (posted this before, but the manuf. date is 8/95 and I have both OBD I/OBD II ports) just rolled over 126k yesterday. Good to see that the 4.0L OHV has some longevity! I'm hoping she'll last me to at least 230k before I have to rebuild the motor. (might swap it with a 5.0) So far in the 6 months I've had it I've replaced the power steering fluid cooler, right-side control arms, camber bushings, PCM & sensor, 2 tires (2 more to go), and getting ready to replace the brake and fuel lines.
Over this past weekend round trip to Houston (500 mi.) posted 21 mpg. My trip computer stays at 16.8 city driving. 2000 X EB 5.0L stock 2WD 3.73 diff. 162,000 mi.
Got my 94 just a little under a year ago and was told it had 107K on it then it has 116K (i think thats if thhe seller told the truth lol) now and still runs great. glad to hear these last a long time hoping to get this to 250K-300K or more if its ok with it without major repairs.
2003 Ex EB 162000 still in great shape... no rust just some rock chips on the hood.. small tear in leather on driver seat... hoping to get another 100k
165,000 on 04 with new engine a week ago. 52,000 mile motor out of an 08 Mustang. Tranny was rebuilt in 2010 new wheel bearing in the rear this weekend. Almost all components that are troublesome have been addressed even HVAC door so hopefully it is good for a while!
2003 XLT 4x4 4.0L V6 currently running on 156,x... Runs good, despite little problems with the vehicle (cruise control no longer works, ABS light pops on if I hit the gas to hard, blah blah blah nothing that has to do with how the car runs/drives). Getting 17/18 mpg in the winter and 20/21 mpg in the summer.
