I was thinking about putting a hockey puck lift of an inch or so on my 91 Explorer before I do a suspension lift. It looks like there are maybe about six locations I could put pucks in but I am not sure. Also, will I need any new bolts? Really, just any general info about this would be appreciated.

Search on body lift and you'll get tons of hits on the subject... You will most likely need some new bolts as they generally rust after 15 yrs of service ;)

DO NOT USE HOCKEY PUCKS, that idea is jsut stupid.....

There should be 10 locations (near radiator, front footwell, under front seat, behind back seat, and at back of cab). I would look at the state of your body mount bushings, as they may need replacing also.

Bad idea. They are not designed for that use, and will eventually break apart. Is your safety worth saving a few bucks. Go to Performance Accessories and spend $100. Its worth it. Plus with the kit, you will get the bolts, and other necessary parts.
