Well, in an attempt to make the Explorer more appealing to prospetive buyers, I went ahead and got the cowl induction hood and flared fenders painted. Problem is that it turned out REALLY nice, and now I don't want to sell it. My wife took one look at it and said, "Well OK, we don't have to sell it."

Here are the pics:

Not yet, still packing! I leave for Florida on the 28th of May, so I should be there by the 30th or so.

The 28th is my B-day :) Good luck with the move. I hope you decide to keep the Ex. It looks really nice.

What are you planning on selling it before you move to Fl or something? It does look good.

That was the plan. But I have a trailer reserved so I can tow it with me to Florida instead.

Well, I've decided that the Explorer is "officially" still for sale, but not really. I'm going to keep the little "For Sale" sign in the back window, but I'm not going to actively try and sell it. If someone pays my full asking price, I'll sell it, otherwise I'm keeping it.

Its about damn time. It looks awesome, now just make sure your lugs are tightened down properly.

Oh man...it looks great!! I really like it!!!

from MILD to WILD

I love my fiberglass, with the 33" tires!

Your Explorer looks great, why would you put $$$ into it and then sell it?
You'll never get out of it what you have into it.

Yeah I know, you never get the money back. I wasn't really planning on selling it. It was more a matter of convenience. We are moving to Florida, and it would just be easier to have only one car and the U-Haul to drive. And our other car is simply more practical.

Anyhow, I'm going to go and get it washed today so it'll really shine! Waxing is not a good idea here in El Paso becuase of the dust. Waxing builds up a slight static charge, so within 15 minutes, your car is COATED with a fine layer of dust. Even quicker if it's windy. So usually a nice wash only does the job.

not suppossed to wash or wax for like a week after fresh paint...

I thought so too, but they said it would be OK. Maybe I'll just wait anyway just to be safe.

That thing just looks STRAIGHT MEAN!!!
