I managed to get the video into the computer (no sound).. and I got the pics off my camera..

It was a fun trip.. Damage to our explorer was minimal.
in no particular order...
knocked CB antenna off (need to modify mount so its stronger).. We got it fixed by using a piece of plastic on the ground that we found in Crown King.
Popped the front right spring out 3 times.. (I need to add a j-bolt to it)
Bent the highlift jack (its sits on the front bumper and I knocked it into the bumper)
New body damager under the doors on both sides
Bent the skid plate for the xfer case
Bent the dampner on the xfer case.. (I think I'm gonna remove that, if I snap it off I may break the case).
Other misc. gouges/dents under the truck..

I think thats it..
My tow vehicle (the chevy truck) backfired really good on the freeway, and then after that it would have problems (backfireing/bucking) at rpms high enough to keep it at 50mph.. So I took the X off the trailer, and pulled the trailer home and had AAA tow the flatbed home.. I'm afraid I may have done sometime with the valves as its not acting like a blown powervalve in the carb..

uh now after watching this... i don't think i can go with you guys, i need less big rocks for my stocker for sure... but love to go on a more tame route..

There is a bypass for the big rocky section... At least there used to be...

There were only 2 places that were really challenging for a stock X.

One where Cloaked Chaos cut his tire and the climb with a 90 degree turn right at the top of the climb.

The spot where he cut his tire has washed out some.. There was a RR tie there that he drove over, but it turned and cut his tire on a bolt that was in the Tie.

The other spot was just awkward...

His Explorer is stock. with 235x75r15 tires (AP tires).. The only mod he did was the rear sway bar was disconnected at the beginning of the trail. 30" tires would have given him more lift which would have helped some..
