as far as i know, its not legal in GA, but i do think it is legal in some states. i may get a sneaky pete system for my car, its not much but i don't have to wrry about the 5.0 find it.

im pretty sure you have to bring a time slip to the store to buy a carbon fiber NOS bottle. i dont think you can have one if you dont run 11's or faster. lol:D

it prolly depends on the state. i know in PA its legal to have it in your car, but the cops dont look too kindly upon it, but theres not much they can do other than give you a hard time; and the bottle MUST BE CLOSED. if its open, theyre gonna rip you a new one.

That would be in the case of them searching your car. You Do Not have to allow them to search your car. Keep the bottle covered and you wont have any problems. Its one of the 10 amendments... illegal search and seizure. They also have no right to hold you if your not suspect to anything. If they are not arresting you, you have the right to leave at your will.

And they won't be nice letting you off on a speeding ticket if they see that either. :-(

It's the same in TX, you can be equipped but can't use it. I keep my bottle covered all the time and you can't tell what it is at all.

well, if you get caught street racing, and they clock you at 130, youd better believe theyre gonna search your car looking for nitrous ;) also, it doesnt a take a genious to see all the switches in the dash or console when they pull you over, and figure out that theyre for nitrous (i only say this because most cops arent geniouses, but they know what the switches are for.) and yes, i know people who have been in the exact situation that i mentioned...and worse.

oh, and if the bottle isnt covered, and they see it through the window, theyre gonna search it, no matter what the books say.

If you are caught going 130 they arent going to check your car for NOS... there are many cars on the road that can go that fast, that doesnt mean they all have NOS. They will be more interested in either taking your car away or giving you a ticket (i have seen many cases where the person was just ticketed).... and thats also why i said keep it covered, anything in sight is fair game... anything that is covered they cant do anything about.

This is also assuming you are hiding your switch somewhere and not placing it on your dash with a sign that says:
"NOS - PUSH ME"...LOL

true, there are cars out there that can do 130, but its not hard to tell when a car is spraying. have you ever seen a car spray or ridden in one that was?...i have, and its definately different to see a probe or a mustang cobra spary to 130 rather than run all motor to 130, heh. and when a bunch of cars are hanging out doing burnouts and racing, and the blue and red lights go on, and everyone takes off in a different direction, if they catch one of you (and the local cops around here have "street racing pursuit units" fitted with nitrous themselves, just to catch racers, theyre gonna pull you over, cuff you, check out your car, impound it if they want, and throw you in the clink for a night if the DA isnt available yet. trust me on this.

also, these switches arent right out in the open, but you cant go hiding them in the center console, behind a cd changer, under a pack of gum. if the switches arent easily accessible, whats the point? when it comes to stuff like this, cops arent dumb; they know.

GA is the only state that NO2 is illegal. The rest of the 49 states say you are allowed to have it in the car as long as the hose is not hooked up. Most cops don't care unless you do something really stupid. I have never had a cop search my truck for it before. Most cops who pull me over are more interested in how fast my truck goes not how much I was over the speed limit. LOL

So Troll, when are they gonna ask you to make "police interceptor" Explorers for the Highway Patrol? lol.

Phew... Hmm... kinda seems lame if you dont keep it hooked up. never know when you might need to pull a knight rider and jump a train. Anyways.... in CA I think it is legal for them to search your car... or maybe its just your person. I know there was a big hoopla over here because they passed some deal where they could search the passenger too, and not just the driver. I dont know if that includes the car. Hmm...

mine is always hooked up, just the bottle isn't open and I don't have a remote opener yet.

I'm sure CA has a big problem with street racing. We don't have too many modified cars around here, but we've got our share

Around here most of the people with enough balls to use nitrous know how to drive and use it. The cops crack down more on dufuses that go 100 in their rust-bucket than racers most of the time. They do bust people with hi-po cars, but only if you fly by them going 120+.

Because of the movie Fast and the Furiuos there is a new steet racing law. If you are pulled over for racing it is an automatic 60 days in jail, $500 fine, revokment of your drivers license for a year, and your car is taken away. Does not seem fair since I can get drunk crash into someone and I can get my license back. Law makers are way too harsh. I guess I got to get a roll bar now or I cant race anywhere.

Also, word of the wise, if you fly alot, make sure you have someone drive you to the airport or take your bottle out of the back cause they think it's a GD bomb or something.
