There have been an onslaught of vehicle break ins at our apartment complex and the last thing I need is my trailer broken into/stolen. The explorer already got broken into which is why I'm cautious now.
I already have a black iron pipe from wheel to wheel locked, the tongue is all locked but I don't trust the locks a lot. An Abloy 362 is on the side door, back ramp door is secured and a home made alarm system is in the works.

So how's your trailer (no matter what it is) protected?

My hitch is part of the frame so that's not an option

You can install a Viper car alarm on it with pin switches. I always have a lock on mine so they cant get a ball in the hitch. Also, when I lwave my trailer at my sisters house I chain it to their fence.

I found one like this for $15 at an auction store, but you can get them at auto parts stores, Home Depot, Lowes and I think wal-mart.

I'm actually in the process of making my own alarm with mercury switches. And the hitch has that lock too. I was curious how everyone else protected theirs. I'm always open to different ideas!
