Considering I am a somewhat heavy footed teenager, and I will be towing a boat in the summer occasionally... would an AUX trannie cooler be worth the install for me? IDK if I need it, but a little ounce of prevention never hurt... right?

IMO if you are going to tow I would get an aux tranny cooler. You are exactly right, a $100 item can very well save your $2000-$3000 tranny.
Towing generates a lot of heat in the trans because it is under more stress, especially if your towing on hills or graded ground.
