How Do You Turn OFF / Disable Interior Lights?

1- Go inside the car near that light
2- from your car key press lock the car
3- then press the light button

It should be coming off

The button on the ceiling console turns off the interior lights. Look closely. The one closest to the windshield has a car with an open door and a crossed-out light bulb. Press it.

If you're replying to the original poster, the 5th gen Explorer does not have that button. There is no option to disable the interior lights other than to pull the fuses for the Demand and/or Coutesy lamps. The button you are referring to was an addition to the 6th gen.
