This is a question for all you people with fiberglass front fenders. How durable are they? If you were to tap a rock or tree with them would they crack or are they pretty tough. thanks

I had Perry's Fab + Fiber rebuild my truck after I :roll:ed it, and I asked him about that. He told me he could lay a fender on the ground and jump on it! (although I did not get to see him do that)

I have a 4 wheel and offroad mag that shows a guy standing on a fiberglass jeep fender. They did some test on what was a better replacement metal or fiberglass. Of course with those tests the end result is always "what ever you pick for your use will be good". (In other words we don't want to piss anyone off so we can keep getting free stuff.)

I'd say from my experiences they seem plenty duriable... I have a set of 'glass fenders on my Mustang and they seem to be holding up just fine, and the tops of them have taken many an angry palm blast when I was working on the engine. I wouldn't worry too much about them, my look as good as new.

my friend had glass front fenders until he got into a little accident. yeah, they didnt have a spot on them but the mounts were shredded. he could've re-fiberglassed, but opted to put metal back on.

I've had my truck resting up against a wall on the fiberglass and nothing happened to them. They are pretty durable and flexible and can be fixed easily if anything does happen to them.

Thanks for all of the replies, it's a lot of good info.
