Just did a tranny filter and fluid change. And of course, I over filled it. How full is too full? What are my options? Pretty much drop the pan to drain the fluid?

If you have an auxillary transmission cooler, you can remove the hose clamp from the line going from your radiator to your cooler and drain it there. Otherwise, the easiest method would be to loosen the pan a bit to drain some out. You definately don't want to be too much over. A few ounces over won't be a problem, but if you are a quart or more over, I would drain some out. There is an overflow tube on your transmission in case the pressure builds up too much. I wouldn't rely on it to be your drain though for when you put too much fluid in.

Thin plastic tube

There are some thin semi ridgid plastic lines that you can get at a hardware store. Like 1/4 inch they run to ice makers that will fit down the fill tube. Tape it onto a turkey baster amd suck it out. A little slow but non invasive.

I remember looking at the directions on a bottle of LUCAS additive. This bottle seemed to be a half quart or more and it said that it was OK to add even if the transmission was allready full. And snake oil manufacturers don't lie.

Or add a $20 tranny cooler and really help that tranny!
