How Long Should Hoses Last?

I bought my X new in November of 91. It has about 160,000 miles on it now. Is this a good time to replace the cooling system hoses? They look fine and don't leak. Just trying to avoid future problems.

160,000 miles without changing the radiator hoses? Wow! You've been lucky this long but don't push it. Change them now.

Do you have the upper and lower radiator hoses? I had a hard time finding the lower ones, well, for a '97 at least.

old rule of thumb is if you have to ask, do it.

Also keep the old ones for a trail spare....you never know.

Goodyear makes some trick blue ones, might be able to get them for your application.

Ford Motor Sports sells them too, so does Summit and Jegs I believe.......

Goodyears are nice but expensive. It might be available for the 1st Gen but not for the 2nd.
