How many people have the superlift 5.5" lift?

How many people have the superlift 5.5" lift? In doing the soa conversion did you read the directions or did you disconnect the leaf spring completely and then put them on top?

I have the 5.5. When I did the SOA, I left the leaf springs alone and moved the axle. There was just enough room to clear the drum backing plates when the springs were completely unloaded. The main reason I did it this way was because I was pulling my old 3.27 open drum rear axle and replacing it with a new 3.73 limited slip disc brake rear end when I did the lift.

I didn't read the instructions because I got my SOA brackets used and I didn't have the directions.

I installed mine and I just pulled the leaf springs off.. Its very easy
