How many people here are willing to lay out their Ranger family tree?

Lemme explain:

My first was an 88 XLT 4wd 2.3L 5spd:
31" Cooper MT's
catback exh
homemade pushbar w/KC's
Sold in 93 to buy v

Next,
92 STX 4wd 4.0 auto xtnd cab
5.5" SL
2" BL
35" SS's on 15x10 AR rims(didnt always turn w/o interference)
air-intake
Borla Explorer exh. Modded to fit(headers-tips)
Ridiculous stereo
Installed 4.10 gears and SL superrunner system in 8/96
traded in 9/96 for v

1996 STX Reg. cab 4x4 auto 4.0L supercharged(otherwise stock)My favorite!
Installed w/in 2 weeks of purchase:
4" Trailmaster susp lift
2" front spacers
33x12.50 Thornbirds(I didnt know any better)on 15x10 Mt classics
Flowmaster Dual-Chamber based cust. exhaust(Borla was waaaaay loud)
Converted to manual hubs
Kenwood 1200 Watt stereo
Stock gears?3.73's were fine with the SC. You could roast those heavy thornbirds from a stop. No problem!!
This thing was t- boned while I was parked in it by a 16 yo chick in her brand new 99 Gmc Jimmy and totalled. I sustained a 45 MPH hit in the passenger side and rolled 2 times.

After that I gave up the Ranger Danger for a while. Bought a 95 Mitsu Eclipse GSX AWD(still have it).

Then this past summer I picked up my 99 S/cab(loaded, got everything) with 48k on it for 8500 from a stealership. Couldnt pass it up!

Now Im back!

only two

I got my first Ranger in 1994, it was a 1984 2WD standard cab, long bed, red inside, red outside, had a 2.8 v6, 5 spd, sliding rear window, no air con. :( , thats it for options.
It had a bench seat, I replaced it with buckets out of an eighty something hyundai excel, which were blue, so I bought cheapy seat covers  , new form fitted dark red carpet. I had the windows tinted, chrome American Racing sawblade looking wheels (14x7), Hoosier Radial GT tires, Viper alarm, Pioneer cd player and 12 disk changer, Alpine amp, Pyle subs (10 inch),and Pioneer speakers up front. Ran fine ,champion truck plugs, never broke down, hiccuped on steep hills, stupid carb. :fire:
Got rid of it in 1996. 200,000+ miles, 23 mpg at best highway.

Now I have a 1993 Ranger 2WD XLT Extended cab, dark purple outside, grey/ dark grey inside, 2.3, 5 spd, rear slidingwindow, split bench with fold out seats and fixed rear side windows, no air cond. :( Have Pyle and Jensen 5x7 speakers, Pioneer cd player, cheap 500 watt amp and Orion XTR 15" DVC sub.Ventvisors.
I have but not installed yet: Ceramic brakes, new rotors, rear shoes, timing belt, water pump, Carbon Fiber looking (with built in LED turn signals) mirrors, window tint, alarm, toolbox.
I am buying this week: black Cragar Soft 8 wheels (15x8) from Summit Racing and Uniroyal Liberator AT tires (235/75LT15) from Wal-Mart, a billet grille, shocks, carbon fiber looking rear taillights.
I was wanting to lower it, but I am going to wait until I can afford air ride parts, that will be after I small block/c4 the truck, besides I still have a transmission to rebuld for my Exploder so I can drive it.

Had 86 ranger I got December 34 1997 Burned with everything else I had on October 28 2003. Bought my 93 in December of 2004 and still have it. I liked the 86 better. If I ever roll the 93 it will eather get tubed out or I will by a 2wd first gen ranger and swap everything over to it.

we'll first truck in highschool, a 92 reg cab 4 cly, ,, power house!! Second truck we'll hope this counts a 99 mazda b2500 ford all the way exepct better fenders on a mazda, kept that till 02 bought the explorer sport, but last year i bought a 08 ranger 2whdrive, 4cly 5 speed, xlt package, value,,, enjoy them very much good on gas soooo 3 total ,,actually 4 i had a mazda b2300 it was a 95 model,, base, didnt like that soooooooo much so weak and just to basic!! so 4!!

I bought my first Ranger new in 1989. It was an 89 STX Supercab 4WD with a 2.9L engine and a 5 spd manual transmission. I put 31" BF Goodrich AT tires on it and had 4.10 gears installed in it. I also had a custom 28 gallon gas tank installed in it. I put almost 200,000 miles on it and sold it to a co-worker when I bought my next Ranger.

My second and current Ranger is a 2002 FX4 and I like it better than the 89. I thought my STX was a great truck and it was a little better off-road but my FX4 has so much better power with the 4.0 SOHC engine. With all the towing I do that makes a big difference. I also like the two extra doors on the FX4, for better access to the area behind the seats. I have a spare set of 32" MT tires on wheels for off-road. When I wear out the original 31" ATs, I will replace with some 32" ATs.

So, I have only owned 2 Rangers but have driven a Ranger for 17 years and have put a combined mileage of over 250,000 miles on them.

2 Rangers for me...

The first one was a 95 S/C xlt, 4 banger, stick. It was a dependable truck while I had it but I wanted a little more oomph so I traded it in when it was paid off and got the same truck (same color too) except It's a 4.0 and 4wd.

My first truck was a 1984 Ranger, 4 banger manual tranny 2wd, bondo'd and earl scheib paint. No ac, vinyl seat (could hear the skin sizzle in the summer) dirty as hell but dear God I LOVED that little truck. Had a sparkomatic "system" in it too! I litteraly drove the wheels off of it. Miss that little truck, seriously brings a tear to my eye thinking about the fate of it which had to have been the shreader :(

Then i went to the dark side with an s-10. Hated that pos

Went back to RBV's with my explorer which i love (current trail rig in progress)
Next is my current dd an f150..

half rbv aint too bad is it?

just one for me so far...i bought it 3 years ago when i turned 16, from my dad for $1600 cash, i sold my yamaha warrior to buy it from him, i love the truck, and never plan on getting rid of it, if i get another truck for a DD when i graduate college next year, then my ranger is going to be turned into a Trail Brawler!

Would anyone know where the pcv valve on a 1996 ford ranger 2.3L 4 cyl? iv searched all over for it and cannot find it.
