How Much for Gas in Your Area?

Seems like everything, not just gas, is more expensive in California, Florida, or New York...so it only figures that gas would be higher in those places.

I wish us in Chicago were only paying what they pay for things in Florida. I lived in Miami for two years and everything was cheaper then Chicago. Gas, food, real estate and autos to name a few. I'm sure California and New York are Expensive like Chicago but Fla. Is cheep. There are no jobs there but it's an inexpensive place to live. My mother in law (who lives in Miami) was complaining to me about their gas prices until I told her we are paying about 15% more the she is!

anyone ever use a site called www.gaspricewatch.com ? Its a great site with the cheapest place around town. sometimes reports can be old but its a good way to find the cheapest gas

Well, basically I have found that any city or resort area is going to be xpensive...

As in, if you're in Denver, CO, gas will be high, but not as high as it is in Dillon, CO, up in the mountains. And Miami will have more expensive gas than, say, Ocala or Lake City. One time I was in Chicago and the gas was $1.52 downtown but $1.20 out in Schaumburg. That was a couple of yrs ago...I would like to see $1.20 for a gallon about now...

Nothing beats my home country man. S$1.53/litre. Comes out to US$3.50/gallon. That's for 91 which is the lowest grade you can get.

Gas Price

Paid $1.99 for 87 octane today, I've seen $2.19-$2.27 for primium - the later was $2.23 on the way to work. Within two nights this week at the same gas station the price went from $2.13 to $2.19, it took a couple of days to go from $2.09 to $2.13. for 89 octane. Where-in and around the South Bay cities in CA, Torrance, Redondo, Manhattan Beach near LAX

GAS

Here in Saint John New Brunswick Canada it is .82cents a litre wich works out roughly to $3.24 a gal for 89 octane and ther is an OIL REFINERY IN TOWN!!!!!!

Just curious to know how much everyone is paying for gas these days. Here in Utah, I am paying $1.60 for mid grade at Chevron.

Regular Unleaded = $2.07
Medium Grade = Arm
Supreme = Leg

g

$1.73 for reg!

Gas in my neck of the Central Valley Californina is $2.06 for 87 octane, and about the same in the Bay Area. I did see an ARCO station for $1.87, but what a zoo, there were cars lined up quite aways waiting to gas up.

Gas here on Thursday was 64.4 cents per litre on Friday morning it was 73.9 cents!!! What a huge jump!!!!!!!!!! I'm still in shock. Almost 10 cents overnight! It's not unexpected though the pricks around here always raise gas prices before a long weekend in spring and summer.

Paul, is it just because of Victoria Day that the prices are up? I don't think they'll bring it back down again will they?

a rumor

not to start anythign i shouldn't, but a friend of mine that works at a station clued me in on a little info. gas will probably got down 5 to 10 cents a gallon through this weekend, then increase 10 to 20 for labor day weekend. what this means to me is that as soon as i see prices in NE drop to around 1.65 i will fill up and probably fill up my three 5 gallon containers with gas and save it for the vacation weekend..i know it's stupid to conserve excess product like this, but it will save me some $$ for the weekend.

I live in cook county, illinois...which has some of the highest prices. At our Shell, its 2.29 for premium, and at mobile, its 2.34 for premium. Thats f****in nuts.

Carl

(i normally fill up my tank with around 17 gallons...which is about 37 bucks)

It will probably come back down after next weekend but most likely not all the way back down to what it was last week. Around here they like to keep gas prices high in the summer time and tend to raise them even more just before every long weekend. They say it is because of the increased demand but I have never seen gas prices follow stat holidays anywhere except here.

Gas in Cali

here in northern cali.

$2.09
$2.19
$2.29

latest from nyc. $1.929 for regular, and this was the station that is one of th echeaper in my area. trying to save money, we've been buying gas from Costco wholesale...still a whopping $1.839
