WOW, you guys are rich! Me, with my X, BMW, (2) F150s, only liab. on each, only pay $650 every 6 months. 27yo and perfect driving record (I am the luckiest guy I know in that regard).
I Live in VA and I'm 19 with a clean record.. although I made one clame. my breaks went out and I ran into the back of a car.. but no ticket for that ... and I pay like 2450 a year... which is about 200 bucks a month ... but I have full coverage.. But I have stae Farm insurence.. I'm still under my dad's name but I pay the bill... I pay about 1200 ever 6 months ...
I just moved to Alaska this past summer and bought a 93 Explorer sport for me and a 94 explorer xlt for my wife. I was shocked to see our rates double from the same insurance company. So we now carry straight liability no uninsured motorist coverage. We are 34 and 36 with clean records I have never had a ticket or accident. Our cost is $728 a year total for both X's
Insurance in Sweden:
I´m 29, clean record, no garage,lives in a small town(50000 people) and i pay 800 (dollars)/year.
If i have lived at the country side, the cost would be
450/year. In the capital (Stockholm) of Sweden it would be 1500/year.
The Explorer is pretty expensive to insure over here.
If i had owned a newer Volvo or Saab my cost would be about 450/year.
I'm 22 and currently here in MI it's $300 every six months for full coverage. When I move back to CA it will be $900 every six months, but I have a ticket and an accident that will be off my record in December, so my rates should drop a lot. This is through USAA.
< $100 per month
97 Exp 4X4
94 Ranger
18ft Bass Boat.
It was about $135, but an accident came off in Jan.
So I guess that is less than $1200 per year for 2 cars and a boat.
My wife and I are in the 28-31 range.
State Farm Insurance. Raleigh, NC
I will have to say as well, when I hit that lady(her car) a few years ago, State Farm was quick to pay, I called them and told them I had hit a lady and they reacted quick.
I pay about 1400/year. I'm 22 and I have one accident on my record. My insurance company is Metro (no-name). TBOMB---your record is hilarious. I can't believe its only 1200. In my first 2 years of driving I got 12 tickets....My insurance was 1500 for liability on an 89 cutlass calias.
Originally posted by tbomb im 22 and in the last 18 months ive had: a 4 point ticket, a 5 point ticket, a hearing, a trial, a 15 day license suspension, i had to take that "safety test" because i had too many points, and i had my family get dropped by our insurance company. im now on my own plan, with the title to my truck in my name (used to be on my dads plan with the title in his name), and i pay $1200/year for complete coverage...thats right, just $1200 for COMPLETE coverage
I have been nabbed for:
speeding 3x
tailgating 2x
changing lanes w\o signaling 2x
wreckless driving 3x
changing lanes unsafely 1x
equipment failures 4x
failing to yield 1x
November of 1999 i got 13 points worth of tickets in one stop.... Trooper did NOT like me!!! LOL
Total point = 1 .. if that (when i went to the DMV last month they had 0 listed.. but that has to be wrong)
Got to love NY ... all they want is your money
Total cost for all my incidents has to be around $1500
Oh yeah I also "took" a defensive driving course and got my 10% discount off my insurance
im paying 1500 a year with minimal liability
The only thing that shows on my record are equipment failures.... that lets the crooks down at the courthouse to take your money and keep you happy by not giving you points... I was more then willing to pay!!!
I recently fired my lod insurance company ( geico ) and took out a new policy with Allstate. The net saving was $500 per year. GeICO is a real rip off. What a PIA to even cancell the policy with them.
I'm 25 single and still in college, and mine for basic coverage is 27 bucks a month. That's for USAA and a podunk little town in Texas. and also a spotless record.
28 yrs old married 92 x and 93 ranger pay 63.00 a month for both which is comprehensive, liability, unisured motorist, roadside assistance not bad for both considering my wife rearended a 2001 mercedes fully loaded and they concidered it totaled last year only went up by $8.00 also have house ins and discounts for home alarm and car alarm, multi car policy. with state farm
