I ordered a new driver's side seat for my eplorer, but first i need to know how to remove the old one. Any help and tips would be greatly appreciated!

There should just be four bolts going into the floor- one at each end of the two seat rails. Slide seat all the way forward, take out the two back ones, then slide seat all the way back and take out the two front one. Unhook electrical (could be as many as four plugs if you have seat heaters), tilt back of seat all the way up, and pull seat forward to steering wheel and then sideways out the door. I found when reinstalling that i needed to put the front bolts back first and tighten them all the way down to make the rear bolt holes in rail and floor line up.

awesome thanks man. everything went according to plan. ive always had this wobble in my seat though. i couldnt figure out the source i think it may be the sliding rack.

I have 95 4dr do I need to disconnect the battery before removing the seats so the air bars don't get set off?

you forgot about needing to unbolt the seatbelt track.

You need to have the battery connected to slide the seat to get to the bolts.
Pretty much impossible to undo all the bolts without sliding the seat.

unless you have seat-side air bags (small SRS tag on the outside seat seam) you don't have air bags in your seats. The dash/steering wheel mounted air bags have nothing to do with the seats.
