so I have a 2000 mountaineer 5.0. It has a groaning type noise which seems to be coming from the front/front right area of the car. Not related to rpms, only speed/tire rotation. Any ideas?

Not much info to go on, here. Usually a driveline issue emits a howling or grinding noise. Any maintenance records for the past year or so to help eliminate some possibilities? Start with basics such as rotating the tires to see if the noise follows. Make sure your brakes are working freely. Could be a bad wheel bearing, CV halfshaft, problem with front differential (low on fluid?), front driveshaft, etc.
