I got my new REVOs installed on Thursday so I have not had much driving with them, but so far I love them. Unfortunately it has been dry since I got them (figures  ) but even the dry performace is much better than my Goodyear Wrangler RT/S tires (still with 11/32nds tread). They also have a mean look to them and seem much beefier.

I'll post more as the weather gets worse, but so far the ride comfort has been the same (I run them at 35 PSI) but the cornering seems to be MUCH more responsive. Just turning into my street I can feel the car pulling stronger than on the old tires so I have to chill out on the sharp turns before I  - ha ha.

All and all I'm very happy with the purchase so far and I have not even hit rain or snow which is the main reason I bought them!

I agree. They're great in the snow and in mud as well.

It can't snow soon enough for me :(

Thinkin bout getting these or bfg a/t... Which would be better for tread life?

probably the Revo's... they are the highest ranked A/T tire on the market for all around use (according to tirerack.com, 1010tires.com, tires.com etc)

i think i would go for the REVO's myself because of the price and the better life

Ended up going with 30x9.50R15 Yokohama Geolander A/T + II instead of BFG's or the REVO's. Anyone had xp with them? I was gonna go with 31's but it looked pretty tight. :) I'll have to take some new pics when I get them on.

i got a set of 4 P255=70-16 revos from costco for 600.88 over the summer. they were expensive, but it was well worth it. the wet handling is amazing, especially compared to my old general grabber aw's. the little snowwe've gotten so fae and when i went skiing, they auto didn't come on at all when i eased the throttle. starting today we're expecting 12-18 here in NYC and i have no worries at all. these tires are great for wet and dry conditions. just my .02

I went from the BFG A/T ko's to the Deuler Revo's in the fall, and finally got to run them in the snow today. They work great!! I switched from the A/T ko's to the revo's for a couple of reasons. First, I don't wheel my X anymore...if I still were wheeling the X, I would have gone back to ko's. Second, they are much quieter than the ko's. the ko's were quiet at first, but got noisy as they wore...nowhere near superswampers, but it does begin to annoy you on long trips. Third, the revo's are rated better in the snow than the ko's. So far they have worked well in the snow, but so did my ko's when they had a lot of tread...the ko's got squirrely on water and snow as they wore down (more than I thought they should have).

i just ordered some revo a/ts on tirerack (255/70/16) and can't wait to get them. i'm pretty much running drag radials on mine they're so bald lol. unfortunately, i won't get them till tuesday or wednesday, and today we're supposed to get 12" of snow ...

I wheeled once with a guy that had them, he did real good in the mud. Reviews on Tire Rack mostly say they're great tires but wear quickly.

I got a chance to run the REVOs in real snow here in NY yesterday. To be honest, I wasn't terribly impressed. I was able to easily kick out the back end and put myself in a spin despite the full tread on the tires. I can't say that it is 100% the tires or if it is the fault of the Ford AWD on my 5.0.

My engine has a nice amount of torque and going at any speed if I gave it too much gas it would just kick out and go all over the place. Not sure if any tire can prevent that but I recall having a set of Gistlaved (sp?) Nordic Frost studded snow tires on my old Sentra FWD and I could run circles around the performance of the X with the REVOs.

People on the highway were cruising past me yesterday but I don't know if they were just more risky drivers or if their tires or traction control systems were better than mine.

All in all I'm happy with the REVOs, but they are not a dedicated snow tire. They are good for all year round though.

i had them going in about 17"of snow here on staten island, ny. they dont like to plow my block till everything is over so it was nasty out. the only time i was "stuck" was when i pulled over into about 2 feet of plowed snow to let a car go by. i got out by going back and forth a few times. so much better than my old general grabbers. great traction. no wheel spinning at all when i was pulling plowed in cars out. AWESOME TIRES!!!!!

You said it yourself. It's not at all fair to compare an AT to a studded snow tire.

I went out a few weeks ago in absolutely horrible weather with my Revos and they again confirmed that they were the best AT tires I've ever used in the snow... but still they are AT and I am not expecting them to perform in icy conditions like studded tires. When it's icy, I just stay off the roads until they are graveled.

Well I was just driving in snow this weekend - no ice. But you are correct, the REVOs are AT tires and not snow tires. One part of me wishes I kept my stock tires and just got a set of snow tires to put on the rims during the winter but my decision was based on the AWD. I figured with AWD a set of ATs should perform well in the snow and I would not have to worry about mounting / unmounting every year. It's not like is snows all the time in NY but if I had a car with FWD I would have got dedicated snows as I have in the past.

I was not at all concerned about getting stuck, just wish the REVOs had more control on snow when driving. If I hit a snow patch the X would pull to one side very badly.
