My viewpoint is this,if the new radiator happens to fail or start to leak they may very well stand behind it.
But have fun taking it out and shipping it back, what are you going to drive for the week+ that it's gone?

Napa....it leaks,I drive it to their store and replace it in the parking lot.Done deal.:D

That is the same price as places like Radiator Barn, etc.,

I'd look there too. Lots of people get them from those guys and nobody that I know of has had an issue. There is also something to be said for safn's point too. I just won't get dependant parts from eBay. Too much riffraff on there anymore.

Thanks both

I looked at rad barn too, but they don't have all aluminum and from what I've read, that is way better than plastic

Napa doesn't show it available.
AZ has the plastic one for $200...

For an all aluminum rad, that e-bay listing is actually a VERY good price, assuming the quality is there.

However, Rock Auto has a Spectra Premium alum/plastic replacement for $89. I've used this brand in several vehicles, with no problems. In fact, I recently put on in my Ranger.

Just in my head- why all aluminum rad? Are you planning to mod?

Because several people said it was better :p: no mods for the time being can't afford them

I guess... I mean yeah, for a racing application and some other situations- or if you can get one for the same price... :) Curious how well it is put together. That's cheap for an aluminum rad. Wish they did a dual core for $150! :D

We range in temps here from below zero in winter to triple digits in summer that's why I was advised to use an all metal one... :dunno:

Ah- good point. We don't have that issue up here. :D

Ok- just to revive...

The "Radiator Guyz" that were mentioned above are- guess- no longer around. So much for the warranty? :)

I think they may now be "Reliable Radiator" now.

Anyhow, I'm going to toss in a new radiator as PM, I know if I wait, it'll give up when it's 10 degrees.

Any new developments in radiators? Still Radiator Barn? Anyone find anything better lately?

...I know this is the Gen III forum, I just wanted to pass on the info on the Rad Guyz

I ended up buying one from coolautopart, unfortunatelly, they sent me the wrong one, and at first I didn't notice, so I gave them a + review, once I took it to the shop to get installed, they told me that it was missing an outlet, so I asked them which car would it fit, so that I could at least sell it and recoup some $, they never answered my emails  so it's sitting in my backyard :(

I used to have good luck with 1-800-radiator back inthe day. I got a radiator for a BMW X5 that was from the same manufacturer as the part from the dealer, at over half the cost of the dealer.
