Hey guys, I'm in Asheville NC and need some serious help. I'm from CT visiting a friend here in NC and my truck is stuck in some mud. We made it earlier and we were driving by it again, so we decided to burn through it real quick. I guess I made the ruts pretty deep, and this time I couldn't make it out. It looks like my whole undercarrage is stuck and bottomed out. I need any help I can get, adivce or a nice tow. I hope you guys see this. We're about to go and dig it out. Thanks.

Another thing, only one tire is spinning, and its barly on the ground. 4WD isnt doing a whole lot for me now. I'll become elite if you guys help me :)

since your going to dig out, you might want to leave the exact location, or a cell number, incase soem one can help ya, if i lived up thjere i would come, but floridas a little far away.....

and il ltry to keep this bumped for ya

Get a winch or a come along and try pulling it out. Just make sure if your using a come along to wrap it around something sturdy like another truck or a tree with a tree saver strap.

good idea.

My phone fell out of my pocket and landed in the mud, but you can reach me on my friends phone. 860 984 1020, if that doesn't work call 860608 9853. I should answer, but ask for Chris or Joe . We're in West Ashville in western NC. I'll pay for gas to get here and home. We're going to stay here for a few more minutes, at least until we can get the feeling back in our fingers. Thanks again guys.

ummmmmmmmmmm let air out of the tires

Low air pressure is the key to mud.
Take the tires down a little at a time.
Take a 12v compressor with you so you can air back up.
You can go down to about 12-10 psi, but driving on the streer I wouldnt go below 20 depending on the tire size.
4wd only means the transfer case sends power to the front and rear axles, if you have open diffs then the power will go to the 1 wheel that slips (no traction), that is why you are spinning 1 wheel even in 4wd.

thanks 410. were going to get some wood, buckets and shovels. if anyone is around this area please call my girlfriends cell. Thanks guys.

please bump this if you read it. ill be around

alright, we're off. wish us luck.

good luck

I would help you, but I am 6 hours at least away. You not have anyone that your friend knows that can give you a tug?

**UPDATE**

well no luck. my friends parents brought their 2001 ranger edge 3.0 and that did nothing. it didnt even budge my truck. then my friend called their friend who has a CJ5 with a wench, but apparently his ignition was in pieces. we tried wedging tires and rocks under my wheel and that didnt help very much. we dug a pretty decent sized irrigation system to drain all the water which did work well for us. the place im stuck has construction going on durring the day, so mayb they'll help us out a bit. but my current status is STUCK. any help would still be appreciated. call anytime. 860 608 9853. thanks.

I cant help you but i sure would like to see pics of this.

well i got it out, for a few minutes anyways. we were backing up and my spotter backed me up too far. bottom line, im stuck again. not nearly as bad before, at least both back tires are spinning now. we'd be able to get it out if i had a little tug but my friend just moved here, and we dont know anyone yet.

*shrug*

We need to move this thread to the 911 section.. From the sounds of it, your really stuck.. I know getting a tow truck out there would probably be expensive as hell.

Sorry I'm of no help, the the best of luck to ya. I know the feeling. :(

we're calling everyone. apparently everyone around here as ill trucks, but none of them work. either that or their parents wont let them use them, like the h1 hummer that some kid drives around, which is pretty rediclous. we're having this kid call everyone he knows trying to help us out. one kid is going to put a new radiator hose on his blazer tonight, hopefully that wont take too long.

this is one hell of a vacation. [my girlfriend is not happy.]

DID YOU AIR DOWN????????????????

Seriously that is the first thing to do when stuck.

Sounds like your 4wheel drive may not be working.
Is it a 4wheel drive truck?

Might be a dumb question, but are you in auto or low? Do either of the front wheels spin?

Take any pictures?
