I need SERIOUS help.

Is there any trees or anything you can hook a comalong to? I know that help me once. Crank it pulling the truck to the side to move the back tires to better traction. Keep the tension as you spin the tires. It sounds crazy but it should help.

alright, im out. we found a guy with a custom 4wd wrecker to get us out. it only cost us $60 which isnt bad at all. it looks like my 4wd isnt working at all. we got my back two tires to spin, but the fronts wernt doing anything in 4wd auto or 4wd low. after we got out the first time we got stuck again so we had the guy just pull us most of the way out. i have pictures but i cant upload them on this mac, so it might be a little while before i have them up.

my situation was pretty crappy. my whole rear axle/shockmounts pumpkin, everthing, was at least 4 inches in mud. both my lower control arms were also bottomed out. it looked like the frame rails held most of my truck up, but with out 4x4 i was screwed. i guess its time to do some research. my heat only comes out of the windshield defroster now. just another problem added to the list. thanks for the support guys

Sounds like the shift motor is out!

I told you your 4x4 wasnt working :)

Glad you got out!!

We have all been there and done that I think....I got stuck on Easter a long time ago, I was about an hour early going to my relatives and I found a open lot. I was stuck for 3 hours and got mud all OVER my nice Easter clothes :) hahahaha

Luckily I had some kids come by in a Montero and pulled me out!! If you are serious about MUD then I suggest a front LOCKER and also MAKE SURE YOUR 4x4 is on BEFORE you drive into it :)

I know...

STAY OUT OF THE MUD!:D

Dude im glad you got out. I know how frustraiting it can be.

In six months you'll be able to look back on this and laugh.

yeah, im already to the point where i can look back and laugh. my 4x4 was working earlier that day when i went threw the same path. my girlfriend has never been wheeling, so i decided to give her a little taste. im still new to the 4x4 scene, seing how i used to be street. live and you learn. thanks again guys.

Glad you got out of that sticky situation :D

the water was a lot higher, we dug an irrigation channel (see below) to drain it out.

here you can see how much mud was holding my truck high centered. notice the jack in the back. i only got the axle out about 3/4 inches with the jack, that gave us just enough room to dig her out.
