I need some opinions....

Soon I'll be looking for a 91-98 or so X and I like both 2 and 4 door x's. But I want to drop it 2-4 inches on 18's or 20's for a daily driver. I would like to know which one is easier to lower/rides better lowered and that sort of thing and just what people think of doing that to these trucks. Thanks in advance, Justin

I personally like the 95 -99 sports the best, don't really care for the 91 -94 model.
Just my opinion.

a 95-98 can get dropped up to 3 inches w/o major modifcation.
a 91-94 can have a 2inch drop if its 4wd

i think you could probibliy drop a 91-94 2wd more than 2 inches but i dont really know cuz i dont have one

I forgot to put, It's going to more than likely be a 2 wheel drive. Also, it may end up bagged, depends on how the money flow continues lol. Thanks guys, Justin

I'm thinking it would be a bit easier to drop a first gen cause it has coils, the second gen has torsion bars which would need to be removed.

But in the second gen you get better looks (at least for a sport truck), more amenities, etc. Also have a bit more room in the front wells.

Also doesnt the first gen have hubs that stick out? That would not work too well with 18's or 20's aftermarket rims.

hubs are for 4wd, but i believe on non 4wd they dont, though i might be wrong
