alright... last night another thing broke on my truck. When its in drive it drives fine. But when I put it in reverse, it won't wont go backwards. If I step on the gas and bring it up to about 3-4krpm to get it moving it'll move slower than the idle speed for reverse.

Its not the e-brake because I can drive forward, and I dont think its anything like a rear end or anything, because when I put it in Neutral, i can roll it backwards, only in reverse it wont go back.

any ideas??? BTW, I just had a fresh rebuild in April.. did they do a ****ty job?

sounds like your last predistion, sounds like the tranny is at fault!

Sounds like the tranny shop goofed on the rebuild. I had a similar problem with my old Monte Carlo. Inside the tranny there is a part called the crush washer, and it was improperly installed. On mine I could back up, but I couldn't go forwards. I'd take it back to the tranny shop.

thats actually good news.. its under warranty... so it doesnt sound like the rearend is shot... right?

No I would say it's the tranny most definatly. As long as the car drives in forward then I would say it's the tranny

excellent, thanks guys.. Ill have it in the shop monday.. this is such great news cause my parents have pretty much cut me off from helping pay for anything that happens to my car... so if this is the tranny, it will give me time to save up to fix whatever else might break on my car.
