I think I have found my rims. What do ya'll think of these?

OK, after a long and hard search, I think I have came down to these 2 rims, but leaning real heavily on the B52's for my 98X. Now my hardest decision will be, Which size? I don't want to go huge, that's for sure. I do not want to lose my quality of ride. So I am leaning the heaviest on 17's with some 275/55/17 Pirelli's. What do ya'll think? Opinions wanted!!!

These are the Montera B52's.

These also came into play, but not as serious as the others.

Most defineltly the B52's!! And ya, if i were you i'd go w/ either 17's or 18's. They ride about the same and i like the 18's being a little bigger. But on the other hand, the $$$ is more too.

definitely the B-52's. and for anabolic, i think he has the sweetest X i've ever seen. great color, and a nice clean setup, nothing overboard.

B52's deffinatly! I think they would look better on your Ex's color than AnabolicFrolic's color. No offence! I just like that color of red/burgandy or whatever it's called.

you can't go with 17s, especially not after all the money your dropped into the stereo etc.

18s in a sporty style look great, but anything less than 18 in a blingy wheel like that one just looks like you didn't have the $.

Well if I had any doubt before, I don't now. The 18" B52's it is. I just didn't know what size to go, but Expo hit the nail on the head. That coon dog can hunt!! Sick em boy!! LOL.... And I definately agree with alphabets13, AnabolicFrolic's X is vERY clean.

I kinda like the 17's but they will deff, make a statement! when do you think you'll get them, the comment about the 18's is kinda funny, (not enough $$)! After that stereo you put in it'll seem like the money tree is running out.. But hope you keep going, Love to see your ride after it's finished!!

The only problem i see wiht that it just wouldn't look right with the color. Your onlt option is really chrome or polished. Im still likeing the B52's, have you looked into any chrome mustang style wheels? That would make a nice original statement

In reply to JDraper and boominXplorer, I like that wheel allot, but it is gray. If I had any gray at all on my truck, it would be in the running. But you have to remember my truck's exterior trim is tan and the interior is all tan. So I beleive it would clash and not look right at all. Even the pin stripping is tan colored. That is why I had a hard time deciding on rims. I plan on getting my rims next month. No I didn't hit any lotteries, LOL, I wish. I have worked hard all my life and I guess I am having my "mid-Life Crisis", LOL. I just want to make a statement with my explorer. I like her allot. Nothing wrong with fixing a truck up as long as no one steals her. I have bought allot from EE lately for this mod going on. Still some more things I want to get. One of the last things I will get and that is not too long off is a supercharger. I am waiting on John V. to get them in and Yee Haa, she should rock then. One day I will try and write all the things I have done to it. It is well over 10K so far and once it is all said and done, I would bet it will be well over 20K in mods alone. But she should be 1 pretty lady when it is done.

LOL, JDrapper is trying to make it hard on me now. Those are nice. ;-) OK, I am officially buying some 275/55/17 Pirelli Scorpians now. So all the wheels that I look at must be 17's.

I sure haven't. I am new to this mod stuff for an Explorer. I haven't fixed up a nice car since my high scool days doing my 66 Chevelle. What ya got in mind? Act like it's for you and free, let the wind blow on ideas. LOL. Nothing is too late until it is too late. The tires are too late.

I am also considering getting the Cobra R's from EE. Yall think the Cobra's would be better than the B52's?

The Cobra R has less Bling factor compared to B52 which is a plus but a lot of people have them. If you don't mind having one similar to many X's then...

Personally, I like that B52's. Only because it has wide spokes that covers the small rotors that Explorer have.
