yes you can. the best thing to do is buy all the parts you need from a recked 5.0 explorer. i uncle has 6 complete 5.0 explorers at his junk yard if you want some parts to do it let me know i will hook you up. if not another buddy has a whole truck for sale with every thing you need.

are you 2wd or 4wd? if your 4wd and want a trail rig... this is a huuuge project. unless you want to wheel with AWD... but that would suck.

If you have the SOHC... in my opinion (and from experience) its not worth the swap unless you have a lot of money/time/resources.
