the s10 lineup is KNOWN for being crappy, and breaking, i wouldn't drive that if they gave it to me.....

I also think the S dime stuff is bad news, THat and I think this belongs in a different part of this forrum

personally i had a s10 blazer 1988 and loved every miniute of it.. there were alot of small problems because its age but other then that it was mechanically sound with a 4.3L no big tranny problems it was faster then the 4.0......

yep thats a 4.3 i can tell by looking at it. GOOD Engine

4.3 would be a good engine if the CPI didnt suck so bad

178,000 miles on an S-10 is the end of it's life...

i had a 93 s10 4x4 p/u. with 3 1/2" of lift and 31's on it. it had the 4.3 but it was pathetically slow. absolutely no power. y? i dunno... my stock x out performed it in every possible way. the s10's have really weak front ends on them. u'd never want to put a locker in it and certainly wouldn't want bigger than 33's absolute tops. i tore mine up with 31's. so i wouldn't even considere 33's. it was reliable maintainance wise other than the front end but sucked in every other way... compared to my x atleast. it would've been quite nice if u swapped in a straight axle, gears/ lockers, lift tires etc... fairly stock it was pretty bad though.

save your money, it isnt that cool...

I didnt read the description but from just looking at the pics it looks like an automatic with a huge tack and shift light. Ummm just from that I wouldnt even think about buying that truck.

One thing about it, the truck is in Issaquah which is fairly close to you. I'd go look at it, just to see if it was a bondo queen or not...

you've got some balls. you're considering buying a chevy and your talking to a bunch of ford guys! anyways, sounds like a hell of a deal. Already completelty built and off road ready. I had a 4.3L V6 in my silverado and it broke down several times. I had a lot of trouble with it, but then again it was old.

For the same money you could build your explorer to be more capable than that...in my opinion. I had a 91 s-10, by far the worst vehicle i ever had, i honestly was not impressed and I do not necessary bleed ford blue. That's just me...

Haha! So true! I never liked Blazers/Jimmys. Doesn't look like a bad deal but he's pretty much admitting the transmission needs a rebuild.

Well someone (agilbert68) just bought it for $3,750.00...

I cant believe that thing sold for that much. WAY more than its worth.

Anyway I also do not bleed ford blue. However for the cost I do agree that you could build a much better explorer than that thing.

I had an 89 poS-10 blazer....2 distributors, powersteering pump, front axle wouldn't disengage (valve in the tcase). Man lots wrong with the poS-10

If I'm right, they have the 700R4. So you'd have a better tranny than the A4LD
