im confused....

Hi all so i have a 99 ford explorer xlt, my buddy had a set of 2003 exoplorer rims lying arroung so i decided to put them on, but yesterday i looked and noticed that the tire is bearly rubbing on a part of the suspension i think maybe the uppercontrol arm, its above the top of the rim, they are factory size tires, any ideas if a bigger tire may help this or is there not enough backspacing.

The backspacing is different on the newer explorers - a tire won't change your situation...the right wheel will!

so theres nothing i can do to fix it, cause i like the wheel, and due to medical issues im not in the postion to buy new ones right now. i want to go to do the tt and go to 32 would this be a big mistake without fully fixing it its bearly rubbing but never the less its rubbing.

You can purchase some wheel spacers.
