In or Near Philadelphia?

In west chester they got the "little civic club" (not real fun to see 20 little kids who think they are hardasses drive litte crap cars). But really at the mall you see most of the hooked up cars because of how huge it is... South street would be in second. But the valley forge park is huge it self for any of those who wanna drive past some history (its right next to king of pruissa). Let me know who is in for it.... we can figure out a date that would work for all of us when our freaky gurl with the black explorer is in town.

Okay, Alpha's going to be here June 30th through July 6th, which is a Sunday to Saturday stay, with July 4th on a Thursday. I'm pretty sure no one wants to give up their 4th of July, so I suggest either that Sunday or the Saturday, if Alpha doesn't mind the get-together after such a long drive. Me personally would prefer Saturday, if only to be able to recover on the next day

I'll tag this one too, as I'm originally from Malvern, and my wife is from Hatfield. (I used to work in KOP mall at Friendly's and then at Lily Langtree's in the Sheraton Valley Forge) We get down that way frequently. Sarah, let me know when you're coming through Central PA. Maybe we can meet up in State College.

The mall would be a much better idea then South Street on a weekend night in the summer . Trust me , I live in south Philly . If anyone can go on a Tuesday , my friends own a bar on south st called Tattooed Mom's . They have $1 tacos , $2 Pabst , and 1/2 price margaritas . Besides that , it's a cool place to hang . It's between 5th & 6th street , on south . This summer another friend of mine has the "Hot Rod Ho-down " . I don't know yet the location this year . Do any of you guys go to the All Fords Weekend at Carslie? There's tons of fords of every make, I think the Explorer owners need to make an impact this year. It's the weekend of May 31st-June 2nd. I'm going their with a friend who's a Merkur owner, but I'm wanting to take my own truck there too. Just an idea.

DasFRem, I go for the Mustangs, but I don't recall seeing any 'Splorers there last year. Did I miss something? Are you going this year? I'd be glad to meet you and your pals up there (read into it-I hate walking around by myself, lol). As much as I'd love to enter my truck, after seeing some of the other trucks on this site, I don't feel that have enough mods to compete

Naw I've never been myself, all I know of it is what my friend tells me they have there with all the Merkurs. I know way more about the XR4Ti and it's culture than I need to. I'm trying to get out there this year, but I'm always all over the place so who know's if I'll make it this year, I'll keep ya posted if I do. I figure if the mustangs and merkurs and there are some trucks there I believe, why shouldn't the Explorers? I mean they do sell enough of these things. It's only a matter of time. But then again, since I've never been to Carlisle I could have the whole attidude of the event wrong.

LOL-It's only lowered about an inch in the front-I like my 4WD too much to drop it I'm trying to talk Lizard into letting me send in a pic of our two trucks (since they both have stripes) for the same high -N- low idea, but he's a butt when it comes to the so called "shiny SUV magazines" , lol.

I' be glad to meet up with you guys there (I have about a 2 1/2-3 hour drive) and roam the grounds, as long as we get to have a looksee at the 69-70 Mustangs It's about $30 to enter, if that's what you want to do- which I don't mind, but I could only enter mine on the day that I'm up there.

I'm game for the Mustangs!!! I've owned 2 65's and a 66 . I'm a big fan of the early Mustangs, and so is my wife. I'll have to post a shot of my last one in the Elite pix.

Alpha, are you going to be in PA (and not doing anything) on Saturday, June 1st? If yes, do you want to enter your Explorer in the All Ford Nationals with the rest of us? It's a pretty big show and there's always a few nicely tricked out cars/trucks there...lots to look at and usually some good parts for cheap. Even if you don't want to enter, you could still come over and hang out-Carlisle's not that far from Philly. Some of the big dawgs are coming down too....

Well, we've already established that we want to meet up at KOP, right? Now we need a date and time. While I agree that a week night would probably be less crowded, most of us have to work AND we have a long drive to get there, so I'm going to stick with my original vote for Saturday the 6th. I guess 11 am would be a good time: it gives everybody a chance to get there and we still have an hour before lunch to wait for stragglers and check out each other's rides.

At Carlisle, we were discussing how cool it would be to have an actual 'cruise' from point A to B and everybody liked the idea....how about a cruise from the mall to Valley forge and back? Plenty of time to be gawked at (plus I'm still dying to race somebody )..


So, can we get a show of responses to see who's still going?
