I have a 97 ford explorer xlt 4.0 sohc. I ordered new injector adapters part number F77Z-9G512-AA because my old ones were cracked and brittle. I found out while doing my intake manifold gaskets. My question is are they supposed to be plastic? My originals seem like a hard rubber and the new ones are plastic which i feel like is not going to seal very well.
