I got some Rally Racing Series fog lights yesterday, and me and my dad installed them most of the way a half hour ago. They look very very similar to the Hella 1100's, with a lense that turns colors from purple to blue to a chrome color. Whenever you turn them on they glow yellow around the edges and white/yellow in the middle, and throw a neon yellow (if there is such a thing) beam. We put them in the slot in the front bumper, and they shine out on both sides of the plate, so that looks cool. We drilled the holes in the top part of the bumper to mount the brackets on, and they fit jsut right, and come out flush with the plate. The wiring (what we've done so far) has been easy, ran the wire down thru the opening where you get to the headlights and wired up to the lights. We've still gotta find a place to mount the fuse box, might have to make an adapter plate for it, and then have to find a spot to run the light switch through the firewall. The switch is cool, it'll be mounted under the dash or wherever its easily accessible but not in the way, and its an illuminated switch too.
And get this...I got them from Walmart! I was in there buying a new creeper since I cough sorta cough cough ran over my dads cough old one cough
And just happened to be going through the lights and saw these setting on a shelf, they were $15! I couldnt let them go so I got them. I think they're a helluva deal for $15, having the illuminated switch, all the wires and bolts and everything you would need, and they look cool, on and off. Tomorrow I'll have to see what we can do about the fuse box and switch.
