Instrument Cluster Question

Hello everyone. I have a 2002 XLT Explorer. While cruising at 75mph, I turned on my cruise control and all of my gauges went flat on my instrument cluster. Cruise still works. Everything went flat including my speedometer that fell to 120mph. I've checked the standard fuses under the dash and under the hood and they are fine. All other lights are fine including the blinkers and flashers. Any help would be appreciated.

Did it return to normal after disengaging the cruise control?

No sir. I believe that it happened when I engaged the cruise control but I can't be certain. That is when I first noticed it.
