96 explorer awd 5.0 instrument cluster question

i have a 1996 explorer awd w/5.0 I wam replacing the instrument cluster and i found a free one from a 1997 explorer xlt w/4.0l. My question is will it be a simple just plug it in and it will work fine? Or do i need to repin anything for it to work right?

Plug and play. Caveat- Some '97's had different non-resistor gauges for volt and coolant, so check for proper operation before you button everything up. If it acts weird, just put your 2 end gauge clusters into the new cluster.
